Surrogacy Doula Support

As your doula I help both parents and gestational carriers prepare for the birth.

I’m there every step of the way to support all parties involved. I ensure parents feel a part of every step. Emotional support will be a large component of my role to you. A listening ear, positive reinforcement, and education to help ensure you have all the tools you need to enjoy your new child(ren). 

In a surrogacy birth, I help to establish plans for delivery day alongside parents and the surrogate. As your doula, I help to educate all parties on their options and bring up possible scenarios. We also plan and prepare in the case that the birth plan doesn’t go as we have anticipated (which can happen in any birth). Whether your caregiver is a Midwife or OB we want to ensure they are well informed of the preferred birth plan. If a hospital birth, I’m there to help provide you gentle reminders so you're empowered to inform the staff of your wishes for birth and immediately after.

Also during the journey there will be a time where I have a 1 on 1 with the gestational carrier. During this conversation, the carrier has the opportunity to discuss; her entire journey, in a place she feels safe and comfortable. I am there to support the carrier so she does not feel negative about the experience, but understands the gift she's giving and feels empowered by it.

As your doula I am there to support both, gestational carrier and parent(s) postnatal. Often due to emotions, exhaustion or other factors, remembering specifics about the labor and delivery the parents may have been too excited or nervous; so I will be taking notes to help complete the birth story. Post birth I discuss with both gestational carrier and parents how they feel. I will add these notes and possible quotes to the birth story as well. I will also help gestational mother with recovery needs and new parents with bonding and feeding. 

Surrogacy package - $1600

**This package is to help prepare everyone (surrogate, parents, and family) for the birth from all facets of this amazingly unique experience. Available to family and surrogate for support up until 8 weeks postpartum. **

• Unlimited phone and email support. *With office hours of Monday through Thursday, 10am-4pm (or by appointment). Any calls or emails received outside of business hours will be responded to within 24 hours of the next business day or sooner.*
• 3 Prenatal Meetings (intake, birth planning, postpartum planning, answering questions, etc.)
• On call 24 hours a day starting 2 weeks (14 days) before your estimated due date
• Complete labor and delivery support 
• 2 hours postnatal care and support 
• 2 Postpartum visits (1 within 1-4 days of birth and the other before  6 weeks postpartum)
• 1 Postpartum visit with gestational carrier
• 1 Feeding/Lactation support meeting
• 1 Family support meeting (questions, bonding assistance, postpartum plan reiteration, etc.)

Adoption Doula Support

Many (maybe even you) think doulas aren’t for adoptive families, but some of us are.

The initial job of doulas was here to help bring healthy babies into the world by supporting mothers in labor, but the world is changing. As a doula my goal is to bring healthy babies into families in any way I can. I am here to support parent(s) from any type of family embrace their journey. I will assist in establishing bonding, answers questions, and feel empowered to make the best decisions for their baby (child) and themselves.

As your doula, I cater the support I provide to your specific situation. The specific age of your child, are there other children in the house, are you new to adoption, do you have family support, cultural differences that may need to be addressed, and more contribute to the plan we will develop. Every parent and every family deserves support and I hope you consider me to be that for you.

Adoption Package - $900

• Unlimited phone and email support. With office hours of Monday through Thursday, 10am-4pm (or by appointment). Any calls or emails received outside of business hours will be responded to within 24 hours of the next business day or sooner.
• 2 Meetings before birth (intake, cleaning, questions, establish Postnatal Plan)
• 1 Feeding support meeting and education
• 2 Family support meetings (questions, bonding assistance, postpartum plan reiteration, etc.)
• 1 Personal/Date Night (Any time between 4 -10 weeks postpartum an in home meal for 2 will be provide along with baby assistance for 3 hours. Allowing some time to unwind and refresh for parent(s) and support team. (Please, notify of any allergies or diet restrictions.)
• Available to clients until child has been in the home 8 weeks.
• Deposit is due upon contract signing, with full payment to be paid before first appointment.
• The care and services of this package can/will be modified for those with a surprise adoption or whom have adopted already and may need a little help. I’m here to help and together we will ensure, your care fits the needs of your unique journey.
